My name is Amy Wiedenmeyer, and I am a storyteller.  I write everything from customer service training manuals to detailed and sarcastic critiques of other people’s reference materials, from poetry to 110,000-word novels.

My most marketable works are my mysteries, featuring ordinary, everyday people living ordinary, everyday lives that are suddenly interrupted by a mysterious tragedy, whether it be murder, mayhem, or simple misfortune.

One of the challenges of real life is that we don’t always get to know every answer of why and how when tragedy strikes.  The beauty of fiction is that my characters usually learn the truth along with the reader.  When reality doesn’t work out that way and the real storms come, I cling to the promise of God found in Isaiah 54:10 –

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
